You surround a creature with a mystical energy, allowing them to send themselves back in the timeline, returning to where they once were.
A magick sigil is inscribed at the location of the creature. This sigil is invisible to most, only observable if a creature succeeds on an INT (Investigation) check against your spell save DC.
As a bonus action on subsequent turns, they may reactivate this spell, phasing back in the timeline to the sigil. Because of the nature of this effect, this does not count as teleportation for the purposes of spells like Forbiddance. Then, they regain HP equal to half the damage they have taken since then, and the sigil fades, ending the spell.
If dispel magicks affect either the sigil or the effect on the creature, this spell ends.
At Higher Levels: At Level 5, the duration increases to concentration, up to 10 minutes. At Levels 6/7/8, the duration increases to 1/8/24 hours respectively. At Level 9, the duration increases to 10 days.
When cast from Level 6 onwards the spell has a duration that doesn't require concentration, and the strain on the creature if they traverse through the timeline becomes immense. They take a −2 penalty to all attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks. Every time the target finishes a long rest, the penalty is reduced by 1 until it disappears.
